Blogging cold turkey for over six months. Good for the health? Possibly. But something draws me back.
The problem now, of course, is that no-one is around any more to read my carefully crafted bons mots. But the autumn sun shines brightly and hotly on the man-made canyons of the island of Manhattan, and perhaps inspiration will strike. Here's a skyline to keep me going.

Well, you're still in my Bloglines feed subscriptions so I came across your post soon enough. I hope you have a good winter season of regular opera attendances, at least :)

How strange. Twas only today I checked your blog (and noticed the bizarre comments on your last post).
Britain's still going down the tubes, btw. But currently the BBC are asking "What's wrong with America ?"
As the Dumb One says :
"Another school shooting in the US, and as night follows day, talking heads have appeared from all quarters explaining what it all says about America. The epidemic of sudden explosion syndrome amongst followers of a certain peaceful religion ? Just coincidence. But don’t expect anyone to be referencing the vast majority of peaceful Yanks anytime soon."
