Shuggy

I'm afraid this is a typical Anglo-Saxon response to this sort of thing. Both the UK and the USA have quite a long history of almost collective punishment when confronted with an external threat. We had the internment of Japanese in the US and Italians in Britain during WWII. Then there's the Northern Irish experience particularly in the 1970s and 80s of internment - and now we have this. Sucks.

And of course the Guardian will scream abuse at the police when the next bomb attack occurs. They can't lose, can they?

P.S. the USA now has a photo of my irises and of the fingerprints of my index fingers. Hope this makes you feel safer.
